"Burning" The Midnight Oil "Thoughts that awaken you"
§ Penned by fingers of mortal flesh, inspired by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for the entire edification of all. Wither Christian scholars or hungry students of the Word the world over, all is essentially the same today as was when learned men of "ages past" passed-on the truth of "it", the Words of Christ, the teachings. The beauty and Sacred truth surviving the dark ages even flourishing anew when the light of the Lord was brought forth upon the masses once again. The "it" being known as knowledge gained as one to another, kindred spirits proclaiming teachings from uttered mouths to truth seeking ears.
For His children and the edification of all men, whether those in question have trod as Kings ensconced in "high-towers" of the land issuing decrees effecting all whether toiling as "servants" as the "common" man or "lower" princes of the land all being recipients of such decrees addressed unto them form those who ruled. The "everyday" men and women held cruelly bound by chains as solid as Iron, unseen as the may have been, yet chains they were never-the-less. Christ, there "mainstay" was a blessed and loving respite, for He gave choice and freedom to all men in equal portions, His yoke was light, He the Master of masters was far stronger than those biting unseen chains, all their needs simple and few, a small sustenance only to break-bread upon thy hearth and measure of shelter upon thy Family.
All commonalities being His Sacred Word, unadulterated and given unto all in equal measure. If tis fit for a king of the land, why not equal-standing among those ruled by there so called "sovereigns"of country and state, men holding allegiance to toil, die for or yet charged to bend a knee by there passing! One above all holds the "key", the means to life everlasting, tis He that gives unmerited Grace in equal portions, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit [Ghost.]
Many are the they whom have diligently toiled (by His Grace) sunlight illuminating there Holy works or nightly by dancing shadows cast about by flickering clay lamps burning there midnight oil for untold thousands of hours. Each to his own in a commonality of brotherhood to bring you, His children, the divinely inspired Word of He who gave up the Ghost and was resurrected so your sins shall be forgiven yet ye ask in His Holy name".
Serve Him Well.
In these so-called "days of modern technology" and "instant gratification", the beauty of the "Penned Word Of Old", enlightens the truth of "it", the Word. When compared with "compromised" modern "translations", opinionated men of the flesh now interpret the Word as "they" wish you to understand it. They, having "studied" to speak of the "how" and "why" you the reader should interpret that which they espouse, many have been "schooled" yet are indeed deaf in understanding the "brethren" of "our time" and moreover care not for the ways of truth of the teachings held fast by His children. Many have at least an inkling of knowledge and heightened sense of understanding of the "what" of the Word. The Sacred book "bound-up", covered in bindings of rich hide or hard-back paperboard. Truth be told, most men be not under the Word yet are gather together with others of like-mindedness not fully interpreting that which is written.
You the reader need but Pray to Him for guidance, understanding, nay enlightenment and authority concerning "there opinion" as they would have you understand. Most assuredly their interpretation comes up wanting. Ergo, read well of the words upon each page, embracing each as truths unveiled. Pray In earnest for knowledge and guidance of that which "speaks to thy Heart".
Cherish every word, the verses nary to deceive. More importantly: know your heart as you the reader carry-on a loving, personal relationship with the , FATHER, SON and Holy SPIRIT. Heed well that which is writ within the hallowed pages of the Book.

May His grace and favor and our love of our Lord and Master the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be with us all.

Musings From a semi-retired Minister.
"Retire", not really, He moves all who serve Him into a different "teaching" by His grace. In my case, a full-time Prayer-Warrior for Him and a aspiring student of Christian "net" broadcasting.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, be of the mind-set that you, the child whom is being taught the lessons of the Word, who studies with an open mind will NOT take every opinion espoused from a "titled" man nor woman as "the truth as-written".
Be of the "mind" you will utilize all the collected/translated Sixty-Six Books * (see bottom of page) "thirty-nine books in the Old Testament, twenty-seven books in the New-Testament" without taking any
sentence, paragraph or phrase-point "out-of-context" to discern the meanings, subtleties of, for or from the Word before you "take" said "wording" or the phraseology used by men of the flesh as "His Word". Look into your heart in prayerfully supplication beseeching
our Lord to help impart enlightening wisdom so you may be "filled-up" with the WORD" of knowledge of our Lord In His Name, by His Grace through diligent study and your personal walk with Him.
Know well there are many out to deceive and many a wolf has been or is in sheep's clothing. Take the time, actually make the time to Pray for enlightenment and understanding of the Word you study. There are many who interpret, (do we not all have an interpretation of something we read?) BUT only one truth "bears-up" within the "meat" of the teaching! We, (most of His children) tend to "go" with what a given teacher / preacher / evangelist or minister expouses, often due to peer preasure or you personally like the way he preaches, sincerity within the message or delivers a sermon deep within your comfort zone.

The "general" or "everyday" bible will likely have the same verbiage as your study bible yet be without the notations, side-bars, center column references or "directions to "see page ??? or compare to vs ???, just straight forward VERSE as written. This basic type of Bible is the one you want to take to Church so you the "listener" can outline or "highlight" verses or wording you hear being spoken at that moment.
When this is done so, (as spoken of earlier) you are letting "Scripture interpret Scripture" as in saying, "let Scripture justify Scripture"/ "let Scripture explain itself." After listening and taking notes, really "hearing" the message as it is spoken, (all distractions aside during a "typical service) take a break from learning/underlining/color-coding and "think" within your heart about the Word you have heard preached and lessons taught!
Take no "deep" thought or analyze the Word at that moment, (notes yes, therein may lay a pearl) do not analyze the message within the sermon where the Word was wrought until your personal "study time" is set! This learning dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ is what a Study, Analytical or Reference Bible with Concordance or with
separate Concordance is all about!
What is "it" all about? Enlightenment, YES to help edify you in better understanding the whole Word as a book of knowledge, to embrace the concept of what is spoken of within His Word and how to enjoy the
riches and rewards of ever bountiful fruits of Love, Faith and Joy as written throughout His children's history and more importantly His Word. I am not asking you to trust blindly in those past few words written by one among many of those who serve Him, there is nary an idle thought nor misrepresentation held within, read of these truths yourself, ye be the judge.
The reader of these words by my hand is cautioned therefore against accepting as "authoritative" any one recommendation as to which Bible is "correct" simply because it is found upon this site. Indeed, even with my modest knowledge of the Word penned and translated through dozens of translations I have access to. My interpretation of "said verse",paragraph or "school-of-thought" I too do not agree with many of the translations given. Necessarily, many of them cannot be right (translations therein/ translators) since they are diametrically opposed to each other. Many translators, editors, contributors of and to different Bibles represent many phases of thought, differing widely. This small site is here to help those who feel they need more timely information insomuch as over two Thousand years have passed and much more "recent" information has been brought forward in phraseology, word meaning and back-up substantiation.
Do not "take time" to feel that which was written within His book, "make time" to read and speak unto others concerning points of irrefutable teachings, passing along the Word as written, speaking of lessons passed from one to another by the oral word.
Once embraced by the Holy Spirit [Ghost], when the Spirit of the Word doth truly descend upon thee, the hunger to have this surround thee, the sublimeness of that moment is everlasting, for evermore ye will seek His face, discerning the truth of "it".
